If there is one food that I love, it is cookies (and cookie dough, of course). So I was thrilled to find out that today is National Cookie Day! In the midst of all of the holidays and the festivities, PLEASE – I beg you – do not forget to celebrate the cookie. They’re way, way, way too important to be forgotten.
I am a cookie lover.
As if you couldn’t tell.
My advice to you is to have one new cookie flavor for the rest of December, starting today. *nods eagerly* To help you out, I have included twenty-eight cookie recipes. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!
(I haven’t tried a lot of these myself, so I can’t vouch for their flavor or overall deliciousness)
Well guys, what can I say. This is awesome. I would eat this every day if I could. XD
A slight variation on an already awesome dessert!
No list is complete without the basics. 🙂
If I’m completely honest, I’m not a huge fan of these cookies….Or most cookies that have coco in the dough. XD
Sugar cookies are so much fun during the holiday season! Grab a cup of tea, put on Christmas music and make some of these lovely treats.
GUYS. STUFFED COOKIES ARE THE VERY BEST! If you haven’t had them, you’re missing out on a huge part of the world. Stop whatever you’re doing and make some of these RIGHT NOW. You won’t be sorry! Nutella stuffed are my second favorite of the stuffed cookies category.
These are good, but not as good as the others. But, I mean, CHEESECAKE.
Again, not a huge fan. But they’re good for the Thanksgiving spirit.
MY FAVORITE!!!!! These are SO good! They’re the hardest to make, though. (It’s really hard to keep the marshmallows from melting…) They are TOTALLY worth it.
Tea lovers, REJOICE! This is the perfect cookie for you!
LOVE LOVE LOVE!
I love cherries. I love cookies. Combine the two and you have an awesome dessert!
*mouth waters* *drools* We don’t have these often ’cause we rarely have white chocolate and macadamia nuts at the same time, but these are some of the best cookies out there!
We used to have breakfast cookies all of the time. Of course they were very low-sugar and much healthier than this recipe. XD BUT I love the flavors of the breakfast cookie and they make an awesome dessert, too.
We used to make these with our Nana around Christmas time. They were always sooo yummy and so much fun to do together.
Christmas time, guys. Say no more.
HOLIDAYS ARE THE TIME FOR EGGNOG! Why not get a big glass of it and stack of these cookies? Sit down, watch a movie (or a mooomie as Dovid calls them) and get into the holiday spirit.
I made these quite a bit last winter. They are so good – melt in your mouth kind of amazing!
CARAMEL. COOKIE. TOGETHER. BEST EVER.
If you like carrot cake, these are the perfect cookies for you!
I loooove biscotti! It takes a while to make them, but it is well worth the time!
I’m not a fan of meringue, but if you are and you’re looking for a holiday twist, this is perfect!
CRANBERRY AND ORANGE ARE THE BEST HOLIDAY FLAVOR COMBOS!
This is, obviously, for the kids. XD Purple. Sparkly. Unicorn-y….yep. All things kid.
And guys, the final cookie! This one is straaaange. It doesn’t really look that appetizing, but if you’re in the mood to try something new and crazy, this is perfect for you! ENJOY!
That’s all, friends! Let’s celebrate the wonderful, amazing cookie! Have an awesome day!
Did you make any of these recipes? What are your favorite cookie recipes? What’s a type of cookie that you hate? Do you have any special holiday foods that you enjoy?
