Hey all! I was once again surprised by my Spotify wrapped. I thought I’d listened to more music this year than last, so I was shocked to see that I actually listened to 3,000 minutes less. Very little of it was me just sitting and listening. For the most part, I had the songs on for background music when I was writing or working.

Just over eleven 24-hour days of listening to music this year. Wow.

I’m not really surprised that this was my top song. Every Last Word is a collection of nearly word-for-word songs taken from the New Testament and the Psalms. I listened to this album over and over again, and I loved this song especially.

Again, not terribly surprised that these are my top songs. I love them dearly.

This was the first year that I actually listened to podcasts. In general, I prefer to read a book and get a more in depth view of a subject, but I do enjoy listening to political podcasts to get some info on the current happenings in our country. I’ve stopped listening to Matt Walsh…he lost me early in the year when he started talking about the existence of aliens. But I do enjoy listening to Amala Ekpunobi and Ben Shapiro as they seem more balanced and objective. I love the Ask Pastor John podcast as he gives such good, reasonable answers to so many hard questions.

Yep, that looks right. I love Sight and Sound Theatres David. I listened to that over and over again when we lived in Utah. I’d take it on my walk and listen to the whole thing through almost every day.

This year I really developed a love for classical. Thanks to Jehosheba’s influence, we are all appreciating the great composers much more than we have in the past. I love hearing Dovid (age five) hum Mozart, or complain about how much he dislikes Schubert. He’s a child prodigy.

Henryk Gorecki’s Symphony No. 3 is insanely beautiful. Even though I can’t understand the words, they speak so much. Go listen to that song, and see how your mind changes. ❤

I was a bit surprised that my top artist was Jamie Soles, but I shouldn’t be as I listened to his albums almost non-stop at the beginning of the year. I was homesick for Pennsylvania (where we lived for a few years when I was a little kid). Jamie Soles was our favorite artist and we knew all of his songs by heart. They’re fun, they sing scripture, and they’re beautiful. ❤

Again, not terribly surprised by my top artist. I guess I didn’t realize I listened to so much Sight & Sound, ‘cause I really don’t remember hearing that much this year….

That’s a wrap! I’d love to hear about your top songs/artists. Have you listened to any of mine? Let’s chat!
I love Matt Walsh and Ben Shapiro! My favorite Daily Wire people are Michael knowles and Brett Cooper though. But those two are my second favorite!
