On Ice Water & Audiobooks (+ A Liebster Award)

Hello my friends. Today (uh the day that I’m writing this, not the day that you read it. I’m saving this for sometime when I run out of blogging inspiration) today is a lovely summer Sunday in June. The world is green and lovely and it isn’t broiling yet. Ah, perfect weather.

I’m sweating despite what I just said. XD I finished cleaning the sugar glider cages. It takes a lot longer now that I have two cages. But I enjoyed my time by listening to audiobooks while I worked. Audiobooks are my new obsession. I’m not talking about the insanely expensive ones that you can buy for the newer books… I don’t have money for that, so I just listen to audiobooks that are made by Librivox (aka all books that are in the public domain and are thus free of charge. XD) I’ve listened to quite a lot of G.A. Henty’s books, but I got tired of the same old story with annoyingly perfect protagonists.

I have a cup of ice water right beside me. I realized that I absolutely love ice water. I used to fill a big cup with ice and then squeeze lemon juice onto it and add stevia and eat/drink that all the time. But because lemons are very acidic, I started eating/drinking just plain water & ice. And you know what? I really like it. A lot. Who knew that water could taste so good. XD It’s healthier, too.

I’ve been writing a lot over the past week and doing a lot of work on my novel and world building. So my brain is kind of sapped. I’m not sure why I’m writing this now. My brain is running out of juice. I need to go find some ice cream…or take a nap…or dive into a bowl of cookie dough…none of which I have the ability to do at this moment. XD

This is a random, rambly post. I try not to do these too often because they have no point. But once in a while, I’ll let my weird, sleep-deprived brain run rampant.

When did you start blogging?

I started in November 2018. I never thought I would actually last this long. There have been plenty of times that I wanted to give up. But I am very glad that I’ve stuck to it. You all are my inspiration and you’ve made this possible!

What would you say is the “brand” of your blog?

Um, I have no brand unless random lifestyle is considered one. I wrote a whole post about that here.

What does your name mean? (and if it’s a pseudonym, how/why did you choose it?)

My name means Forsaking Sin. 🙂

What advice would you give to your younger self?

Don’t be in a hurry to grow up. Enjoy games and laughing and being weird. You’ll grow up and get awkward soon enough.

Do you have a favorite word?

Hope. It’s one of the best words in the world. It is so needed and we must share it.

If you could only choose two functional senses (touch, taste, sight, etc.), what would they be?

Oh, only TWO?! I’ve thought about this question a lot actually (mainly because I have siblings who ask weird questions on such topics). It would be so sad to lose the other senses. But I think I’d have to say, I would want to keep sight and touch. I would definitely miss smelling and tasting cookie dough, though. That would be a tragedy.

If you could bring one fantasy creature into existence, what would it be?

That is a very good question! I was going to say dragons, but I’m not real sure that’d be a good, practical idea. Maybe flying horses. Or unicorns.

What is your favorite summer activity?

Eating watermelon. Hiking. Walking. Not swimming because I had a grand realization that swimming pools are really disgusting.

What project of yours are you most proud of?

Nope.

Are you an early bird or a night owl?

Most certainly a night owl. I stay up late every night and morning always comes waaay too soon.
