Hello everyone! My one week break turned out longer than I expected. I’m still kinda burnt out of blogging, but I’m hoping that I’ll get ideas and motivation soon! Anyway, I’m back with my random life update for March!
March was a really busy month, which was unusual. It’s normally really boring and long and blah. But man, it flew by this year! Spring has come in abundance here! The trees are blooming and the world is turning green! It’s so lovely. I realized just how much I enjoy the warmer weather. Not looking forward to the summer, though. Extreme heat and I do not go well together.
Also…the pollen here is INSANE. Our van is literally yellow because of it. Everything outside is coated in pollen! We’ve never seen anything like this!
At the beginning of the month, Jehosheba and I attended the Hopewords writing conference. We decided to do it virtually instead of in person this time. But I learned so much! It was a really good experience and I was so happy to be able to have that. There were a lot of awesome speakers as well!
Nana, Papa, Uncle Grant and Cannon came for a visit. They didn’t stay as long as they were planning because Uncle Grant wasn’t feeling well. But it was wonderful to be able to see them! Cannon is getting so big! It was so cute to watch him play with Dovid and Yoveil.
We went to Cool Beans coffee shop! There’s Nana and Cannon’s in the background.
Nana and Yoveil outside of Cool Beans. It was a really warm day. We were all sweating!
We walked around the downtown area for a while. There is a fountain in the square, so we went there to cool down. 😉 Yoveil and Dovid were obsessed with the water.
There was some kids play equipment close to the square so we went there. It got really busy shortly after we arrived. Do you know what I see here?? Germs. So many germs!
The last big thing that happened in March was…PASSOVER!!!! *cheers* Passover is one of my favorite holidays. It’s always been a fun time to celebrate and to remember that we are free! I’ll do a whole different post about the Seder and the week of unleavened bread, so I’m not gonna talk a lot about it here. 😉
My blogging motivation tanked. Last month (between my three blogs) I wrote a total of eighteen posts. This month I wrote twelve. 🙄 And most of those were on my sugar glider blog.
Speaking of sugar gliders….I spent $20 and got a ton of toys/toy making supplies for them! I was so happy!
Jehosheba, Mama and I started the Spring100 walking challenge! This is my first year doing it. I’ve been enjoying it a lot and it has helped keep me motivated to exercise – especially on days when I’m physically or mentally exhausted.
Ah school. Math was awful. Everything else was just exhausting. Some months I love school and I learn a lot and others I’m just trying to get everything finished. I did manage to finish a couple of my classes for good and that was encouraging.
Books!!! I more than the previous months
mainly because I was procrastinating on writing projects. I finished reading With Cortez in Mexico by G.A. Henty. I read The Hidden Hand by E.D.E.N Southworth and I’m almost finished reading Capitola’s Peril by the same author. I reread the whole Our America series by Susan Kilbride. I also reread Alone Yet Not Alone by Tracy Leininger Craven and forgot how much I loved that book! I read a bunch for school, too, but me brain is forgetting the names of those. XD
Yoveil’s Cuteness: Lament of the Bumble Bee
Yoveil and I were listening to The Resistance by Josh Garrels (which is an awesome song that everyone should hear). Bumble bees were flying near my window (they have this annoying habit of running into the screens constantly).
Yoveil: Hada, I think I saw a bumble bee die.
Me: Oh. That’s sad.
Yoveil: Yeah. Hada, let’s listen to a sad song.
I found the song May It Be from the LOTR soundtrack and played it.
Yoveil: Hada, do you have a sad song about bumble bees?
Me: Um, no.
Me: Just imagine that this song is talking about bumble bees. Sing the Lament of the Bumble Bee.
Yoveil’s face brightened and she started singing her own words.
Yoveil: Bumble bees….bumble bees….bumble bees died. *repeat over and over again*
What did you do this month? Have you ever been sad about bumble bees dying? Do you have a lot of pollen in your area? Do you celebrate Passover? Do you have any plans for April?
