Hey guys! I am a huge fan of fantasy books – especially series. Unfortunately, there are a lot of poorly done ones out there. Today I will be sharing six series that I love!
The Chronicles of Narnia – C.S. Lewis

Of course Narnia has to be first! Narnia was my introduction to fantasy worlds. I read it for the first time when I was ten or eleven and fell head over heals in love with it. I have numerous short stories based in my own world of Mendolop (that had *coughs* talking chickens as the heroes). I would sit for hours and long to be “transported” to Narnia. I was sure that one day I would find the magical door that would lead me there!
Narnia is beautiful, rich and engaging. It is a must for everyone who loves fantasy!
Lord of the Rings – J.R.R. Tolkien

I finally found a favorite book. Or books. LOL. I read LOTR for the first time last year. I immediately loved it. The characters are amazing. The storyline is incredible. All of it is so well done, so beautiful and so…so…*is wordless* Everyone should read this.
The Wingfeather Saga – Andrew Peterson

YEEESSSSS! I read this last year and man. I totally love it. The world building is superb. I love the unexpected, tragic ending. I love how everything in the story has a purpose. The saga is a masterpiece!
The Kingdom Series – Chuck Black

Technically, I haven’t finished reading this series yet. I’ve read the first three books and am currently saving up for the last three. π But I LOVE it. A lot of times biblical allegories are…sloppy and boring and *decides not to go into my rant*. But this one was really well done and told in a very engaging manner. And the fight scenes *falls into happy trance*
Kingdom Tales – David and Karen Mains

I read this back in 2016, then again in 2018 and then once more in December. I enjoy the story and all of the different characters. I love seeing Hero grow from a scared little child to a strong…hero. XD
The Prince Warriors – Pricilla Shirer

I read this at the beginning of 2020 and really enjoyed them. My favorite book out of the whole series was The Winter War. It had such a tragic ending. I also loved how all of the characters struggled with their own flaws and weaknesses throughout the whole story. It was really cool!
And that’s all for today! Let’s chat in the comments! Do you have a favorite fantasy series? Have you read any of the ones that I mentioned? If so, what are your favorites? Favorite characters? Are you a writer? If you are, what books have inspired you? Lemme know!

YES, I love all of these series! Especially Narnia and LOTR. (I had no idea they were your favorite book series! Cool!) Have you read any other fantasy series (besides The Wormling)?

Um, besides The Wormling? I’m thinking there was one or two others…oh, I started the Green Ember series. I’m thinking there may have been one more, but I’m not sure. XD

Great books!! I’ve read some of the Narnia ones (I probably will have to read more for school in September) and LotR is my FAVORITE!!!!!!!!!!!! I haven’t read the Wingfeather Saga, but I want to try. (All the Peterson books that I have tried just didn’t interest me. I tried to read a book, The Rise and Fall of Mount Majestic, by his sister, but I could not get past the first few chapters. I tried like 3 times… I also tried the first Wingfeather Saga maybe a year ago… My goal is to read the whole first book…) Have you read the False Prince? (the Ascendance series) They are SO GOOD!!!!!!!!

Uhh, the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, and the Magician’s Nephew!!
Uhhh…. EVERYONE!!!!! XD Maybe Sam. He is the real hero and the only time I really get emotional is when he is there!! XD
This is kinda random, but I read the Hobbit and have seen 2 of the movies! BUT, the movies are not the best (in my opinion). They added WAY too much to the movies (I mean, what’s with the love triangle? I like Legolas {as a character} but the movie could do without him. Stuff like that). What is your opinion on all that?
Yay!!!

Yeah, those are awesome!
YESS SAAAAM. He is so awesome!! He’s one of my favorite characters.
Yeah, they added a ton to the Hobbit movies. I definingly didn’t like the love triangle that they added! It was really annoying. I liked how they prolonged the final battle and what they did with Thorin’s death. But the book was SO GOOD. I literally laughed through the whole first part – and I like never laugh out loud at books!

I’ve known Narnia forever and the Lord of the Rings since it first came out, but I have taken down the other series as recommendations from somebody clearly with taste! I certainly will look out for the Wingfeather saga. My favourite recent series was a trilogy by Francine Rivers, the first one being “The Voice in the Wind!” Amazingly amazing story! I recommend heartily. You’ll fall in love with the characters and hate others so badly!

The trilogy by Francine Rivers sounds really neat. I’ll have to check it out! I’m always looking for new books to read. π
