On Precious, Beans and Ring

Hey guys! So the last night of Hanukah was a couple nights ago. Very sad. We decided to play a final game of dreidel while we watched the candles burn out. Since gelt (chocolate coins) are devoured and destroyed by Dovid and Yoveil as soon as they’re in reach, we decided to play the game with dried beans and the winner would get chocolate coins.

SO.

We were playing and Yoveil eventually lost. (Have I mentioned that the game can go on for hours? My sibling and I used to spend whole afternoons playing – for pencils. XD) So Yoveil decided to join my team. We were losing. We only had like five beans left. Yoveil was counting them and she found one that she liked especially.

As she hugged her little bean, she said, “Hada, we’re going to protect this bean. He’s our most precious bean ever. We love him. We’re going to make sure that nothing bad ever happens to him. We’re never going to give him up.”

You know what came to mind when she said that?

Yoveil continued to hug her bean and to kiss it (and wanted me to do the same, but I declined ’cause it was a little wet…). I asked her what would happen if we had to give the bean up. She said, “WE WILL DIE.”

I asked her what she wanted to name the bean. After much deliberation, we decided that we would name the little bean Ring. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

As we continued to play, Yoveil happened to drop Ring. The room was dark ’cause the candles were almost out. She was frantically crawling around on the floor saying, “RING?!!! RING! PRECIOUS! WHERE DID YOU GO?!”

Guys. I was laughing so hard. It was so funny. All I could see was Gullum’s face as Yoveil kept talking about how much she loved Ring and how she was going to die if we had to give “him” up!
