Random Life Update: November

Hey friends! I can’t believe that November IS OVER. When did that happen?! This month went by insanely fast! I spent most of it working on school. Making progress, people! Yay!

Beyond school, we did quite a few fun things. First of all, YOVEIL’S FIFTH BIRTHDAY! She was so excited to be turning a year older. For days leading up to her birthday she was like, “I’m sooo excited! It’s almost my birthday! It’s almost my birthday!!!” She had an awesome day! She got doughnuts for breakfast and a WONDERFUL caramel apple cake for dessert. For presents she got a lot of toys that made noise. They were so fun….for about an hour. Then….well, let’s just say that the batteries are now separate from them. XD

The leaves on the trees started changing in full color. They’re so beautiful. I love looking outside and seeing the brilliant oranges, reds and yellows. God made the most perfect color combinations for fall. So beautiful.

I read a lot during the beginning of the month. I finished the Lord of the Rings *sobs*. I was so sad for it to end! I also finished the second book in the Wingfeather Saga. LOVE THEM! They’re so good!

Guys, I’m trying to remember what we did this month. It was fairly busy, but I can’t remember. XD I should go look through my journal again. *decides that takes too much work* I’m getting old….my memory is failing…..XD

Towards the end of the month, my grandparents came for a visit! It was wonderful to see them! We kids had fun blowing bubbles with Grandma. I realized that I really really love bubbles. XD They’re so perfectly round and shiny and they just…float away and ahhhhh. I’m obsessed.

We got to celebrate Thanksgiving with them. The day itself was a lot of fun! Grandma made ammmmazing ribs (😋😋😋😋😋😋😋) and pretzel salad. Mama made mashed potatoes, rolls, pumpkin butter and spinach artichoke dip (with Jehosheba’s help!). I made cranberry sauce. Everything was sooo good.

Grandma. ❤

All around the table for Thanksgiving Brunch! 🙂

Rolls and pumpkin butter! *loves*

DE RIBS!!!!! I loooove ribs!

AHHH PRETZEL SALAD!

Spinach artichoke dip (guys, this is amazing!)

❤ ❤ 🙂

Jehosheba and Baruch spent all morning making these ADORABLE little cards for everyone! So sweet! They did a great job. 🙂 ❤

After we had digested for a while, I made nutella stuffed cookies for dessert. Ah, yum. We ate them with tea, talked and laughed. Then we watched an episode of Brain Games and a couple of Pen and Teller: Fool Us. 🙂

Dovid was sooo sad that he couldn’t eat the cookies at the very moment that he desperately longed for them. ^^ His pouty face.

The next day we went to the same market that we had visited on my birthday. SO FUN!

Yoveil was crying but she wouldn’t tell me why she was sad. 😦

Jehosheba with her Hamilton mask on. 😉

Grandpa. ❤

Lots of stuff for sale!

And she’s happy again! 🙂

Mr. B (also known as Mr. Cookie!)

Nahum (aka Mr. Bandit).

Then we went and got HUNDRED LAYER DOUGHNUUTS! THEY ARE THE BESTEST! We also got some coffee from an awesome little shop. 🙂

DONO’s! (as Dovid calls them)

This was a GIANT, very tall table that we ended up sitting at!

Ah, coffee. ❤ XD

Today was Grandpa’s birthday. We decided to celebrate both his and Grandma’s birthdays in one. Mama made an AWESOME cake. (GUYS. I feel bad that you didn’t get any. You missed out.) We hung up decorations and had an awesome time celebrating two very special people. ❤

Mama made half the cake with Grandma in mind, half the cake with Grandpa in mind. This side was Grandma’s. 🙂

De baby. ❤

The birthday man! 🙂

Jehosheba and Nahum engaged in a game of chess.

Grandma’s half of the cake is finished!

YUUM! The finished product! It looks so good!

The decorated living room! 🙂

The boys put on a magic show for them. 🙂

Grandma and Grandpa left just a couple hours ago. 😦 But their visit was an awesome wrap up to the month of November!

How did you celebrate Thanksgiving? What was the best thing that happened this month? What is your favorite holiday food? Do you like turkey? (I don’t, lol).

  1. Fun! Fun!
We celebrated Thanksgiving as a family, as usual. It was great! My two sisters got half the day off to be with us! 😊
I don’t really know what the best thing that happened in November was.🤔 I’d have to think about that.
My favorite Thanksgiving food is the pumpkin pie! Yuuuummm! And, yes! I really like turkey! (You don’t?! *looks at you in shock* no, jk. 😜 I know everybody has their own tastes. My little brother doesn’t even like mushrooms!! 😮 But that’s ok, because that leaves more for everyone else to eat. XD )

      1. Me too! 😍
😲 You DON’T?! Oh dear! Yeah, well I USED to not like them, but after we stopped having them for a few years, I started craving mushrooms, so when we finally got them, I liked them. 😆

          1. I eat them cooked or raw, but like them better cooked. My mom cooks them either on the stove or in the oven. Ok. Of course. How else would you cook them? XD She’ll put salt and sometimes grapeseed oil on them, but not usually.

              1. Oh yeah! That is probably why I used to not like them! But now that we’re having them fresh, it’s different….Maybe you should give it a try! 😉
