Hello, people! Today we are featuring a special guest – AMIE!!! Amie is a special friend of mine, and she is so much fun to talk to or just to read her blog. She is very down-to-earth and sensible (unless she’s had too much coffee…..XD), yet can be CRAZY, hints her blog name – Crazy A. Enough of me! Enjoy reading her interview!
Hi, Amie! Tell us a little bit about yourself! What are your favorite hobbies? Favorite activities indoors and outdoors?
Greetings and salutations! My favorite hobbies include creating music, singing, writing, photography, and art. My favorite indoor activities include all of what I just said, and my favorite outdoor activities are tied between swimming, running, hiking, and horseback riding.
Why did you start blogging?
I started blogging in August 2017.
What have you learned from blogging?
Heh. I’ve learned so much, from keeping it real, to how to work with the internet and design, to how to take good pictures, to making interesting creative content. But probably the biggest thing I’ve learned is that it doesn’t matter how many followers, or how many comments, or likes. What matters is that you’re impacting at least one person.
I heard you are an author! Can you tell us some about that?
I don’t feel like an author, but apparently, on Goodreads I am. 😂 In February 2019, I published my first book, a children’s picture book about a detective rabbit and his missing apple. It’s based after my pet rabbit, Snowball, and written for 2-5 year olds, mostly.
What inspires you? Music, books or movies?
Can I pick more than one? XD Basically any good message, or well done creative project inspires me. So sometimes that’s a painting, other times it’s a YouTube video, occasionally a movie, lots of times a book, and other times a song.
What’s your favorite book?
I have my scripted answer, which is “The Wide Wide World” by Susan Warner, but I also love “Unbroken” and quite a few other novels. (Any of Louisa May Alcott, C.S.Lewis, George MacDonald, or L.M.Montgomery’s books are AMAZING.)
What is one strange topic about you that the public probably does not know? XD
This question should be rephrased, “What is one thing the public probably doesn’t know about you, and you don’t mind sharing.” 😂 I have an obsession with apples and peanut butter at the moment. A real obsession that is probably unhealthy.
What are your five favorite blogs? (No, no, no! The list does not have to include DOTL!)
Oof. Um…
Aria Lisette
A Farm Girl’s Life
A Barefoot Gal
da blog pananaw
Kellyn Roth
When did you accept Christ as your Savior and would you care to share your testimony?
Oh dear. This shall be rather long. When I was three, I was lying in bed one night, thinking over the Bible and Sunday school, and what Daddy always taught me, and I realized that I hadn’t prayed to Jesus to ask him in my heart yet. And so I got up, walked into my parent’s room, and prayed the prayer. However, it has taken me a long time to fully understand the gospel. When I was five, my younger sister asked Jesus into her heart, and I cried because I thought that it meant Jesus wasn’t mine anymore, He was Rose’s savior instead.
As time went on, I learned a lot. But when I turned twelve, some circumstances happened in my life, and I just kinda…lost faith in prayer. Because God hadn’t answered a prayer like I thought He should have answered. God doesn’t let His sheep go, instead, He sends people into their lives to help them, and that’s what He did for me. My life isn’t perfect yet, and neither is my faith, but I strive to walk with God, and trust that whatever is His Will, that’s the best thing for me.
What is the biggest thing the Lord has taught you in your walk with Him?
Friends and family may come and go, but Christ will always hold you close.
Do you prefer coffee or tea?
Both. I like them equally.
Thank you so much, Amie, for taking time to do this! I loved reading your answers, and my favorite was your testimony. I believe everyone can testify to have a ‘bump’ in the road sometime, when it comes to our walk with Christ. Now, everyone go follow her, if you don’t already!
XOXO,
Cailyn
Cool! Yeah, my testimony starts similarly to Amie’s, but it… became quite different. I’ll post it eventually? No clue.

I should probably clarify: I accepted Jesus in a similar way for similar reasons, but my journey was… different.

It involves a tornado, May 20, Nathan Kriesel, and Moore, Oklahoma. You could probably find it online, but yeah.
