Holiday Photo Dump

We have had so many holidays and special days this month! Dovid’s birthday, Hanukkah, Christmas! And so, obviously, I have pictures. 😉

I’ve been thinking about my past Hanukahs’ and remembering all of the great times we had. Although, it’s weird: I can remember a bunch of stuff from a few years ago, but when I try to think of last year’s Hanukah, I can’t remember much AT ALL. I think my brain was broken or something. I remember that our stove caught on fire. I was sitting in my bedroom and I came out when I heard shrieks, and was like, “Whoa, the stove is on fire.” It’s weird the things that go through your mind at moments like that. My first thought was, “If the fire gets worse and spreads really bad, how am I going to get my laptop and my siblings out of here?”
I also vaguely remember making Babka and being very unhappy with the results. I recall lying on the couch, staring at the candles and wishing that I could melt away into the darkness. And honestly, that’s like all that I can remember. Which is so weird. *shakes head*

We gave Dovid a slice of his cake to eat in his own way. 🙂 Baruch was hoping that he would smash the thing and make a huge mess….he didn’t at first. He just kind of looked at it for a while. I can image what was going through his little mind…. “Everyone is always telling me to keep my hands out of stuff….now they put this right in front me and tell me it’s okay? I’m confused…but wow! It tastes so good!”

Yes. That is our hanukiah! We ordered an “official” one but it was broken, so we made do with this one while we were waiting for a new one to arrive. 🙂 Isn’t it cute?

Christmas Eve was a BUSY day! We were finishing gifts, making (and delivering) a bunch of sweets to our neighbors and listening to music & laughing!
